The blues

This is the blue boy Celsius

and his sister Calot.

Here they pose together. They are still very similar, and I am for the first time not able to tell two kittens appart. If it wasn`t for the diffrent sexes I would have thought of them as identical twins. Therefore Celsius is still having his lilac marke on his paw :)

I have had reactions on their light color - beeing a bit diffrent from regular blue. I have never had any blue kittens before and are therefore not yet able to tell wether this is a regular blue or if they might be blue goldens. I have to wait for their undercoat to develope, if they are goldens it will be wheat instead of ivory.

We are planning to keep Calot in the cattery.

The brown kittens

Kittens have grown and are 4 weeks already. The litter is very even, but one is standing out beeing "extreme" in type. Here are his picture :). I hope to find a good home for him as a breeding male.

His name is Copper av Holskogen (N). I am going to register him as n 23, but maby he turns out to be golden, there is no grey in his undercoat.

Same goes for his brown sister Camelia, even if she gives a owerall more brown impression. Here is a picture of her undercoat.And here she is at her 4 weeks picture.

C-litter

Our C-litter were born May 28! Delta delivered 4 beautiful kittens. Even if I knew there was a theoretical possibility we could get blue kittens (Delta is a known carrier), I thought the chanses were small. But it turned out Diablo is a carrier of dillution too, and we got two blue babies this time :) The blue boy is named Celsius, and the brown boy Copper. The blue girl is called Calot and her brown sister Camelia - after her grandmother SC Camilla Onyx Gloria.

Delta has a nice round belly, the kittens are expected in 3 weeks! Yesterday I felt some movement for the first time. It is such a lovely feeling. Delta is doing fine, but she is not as eager as usual to jump.

We have been painting the catrun, and adding a shelf to give the cats better view over the sorrounding area. Bouth of them love it already. We have been blessed with nice weather, so the cats spend a lot of time outdoors these days.

Bonus is growing nicely :) His body has matured a lot, and he is aprox 5 kg. It is almost like one forgets he is still a very young man...

Atom carries the golden trait

This little siberian tiger was born after the combination of Atom and Sibinata Baby, and we was not expecting to get any golden kittens. Baby carrying golden is not a big surprise as 2 of her grandparents, Lancelot Onix Gloria and Angelur Hohloma, and her great grandmother Vesta Valenvic are goldens. At Atoms branch of the familitree Vesta Valenvic is 3 generations behind (via Gagarin) and Kudim Jahont is 5 generations behind (Deltas family). As Gagarin gave no golden kittens in combination with the golden female Camilla Onix Gloria (7 offsprings) I thought he was not carrying the trait. And the possibility of Delta carrying it was small after 5 generations. But the genes somtimes hide their secrets well, as this boy proves :)

Gagarin was Best in show on Sunday as well! He got all the votes in the panel, and we are very exited :)

Sady I have no pictures to share. This weekends show was arranged by my own club, and I was fully occupied with delivering the prizes to all the winners.

Kittens are eating and growing. Yesterday Bonus started to purr during his meal. And today Bocca purred while I was holding her. Bouns has almost dobbeld his birthweight already, and the girls are not far behind. Delta is doing a great job nursing them - I am very proud of her.

B litter is born!

Friday evning Delta delivered 3 brown mackerel kittens. One boy and two girls, names are not decided yet. Here is one picture of the proud mother and kittens enjoying her milkbar.

The restless week has started

We are counting down till delivery. Delta has now reached day 62 in her pregnancy. When we reaches this stage I constantly are looking out for signs of labour. My sleep becomes poor and I usually wake up by every tiny sound or movement.

Delta is still very mobile and still manages to jump 1 meter, but she sleeps more and are constantly looking for a lap to rest at. Kittens are moving a lot, and today I tried to get it on tape.

Mystery of creation

As the pregnancy develops the big questions in life occupies me. Today I felt the kittens move for the first time, suddenly making it all very real. A little movement here and a small kick there - how is it even possible to create life? Delta is usually acting like a queen, but has now turned into a goddess. Her belly is keeping the biggest secret of all – the mystery of creation.

Our first Supreme Champion!

Gagarin became Supreme Champion July 5th in Karlstad, Sweeden. He has been best in show 4 times, best breeding male twice, nominated 13 times and best in variety 12 times. We are extremely proud of this tender and loving male! Here we are celebrating his achievement with some friends at the show. Pictures by Randi Hegdal.

The litter we are expecing is between GIC Delta Delissa Darrem Casus`CZ and ES SiestaDream Gangsta. Delta is imported from Chez Republic, she was 4 years July 11. Gangsta is imported from Spain, and is living in Ålesund at his host. I co-own him with Anne Solveig Berge Trandal, Sibinata cattery This will be Gangstas first kittens, and Deltas second litter
Delta is a very intelligent and sosial female. Gangstas name fits him perfectly. He is a very viril and dominant male, but soft on the inside - he loves to cuddle. If you are interested in the pedigree of the litter you can visit this link. Expected colours are brown mackerel, possible blue since Delta is a known carrier of dillution.

We are making preparations

Only three weeks till delivery! Delta has gained 700g already and we have started the preparations. Yesterday I bough a new bed for her, with the delivery in mind. I placed it where she had her kittens the last time, and she immedialely felt comfertable there. Last time the kittens were born in our bathroom. This is a place were it is easy to reduce the traffic and the kittens are exposed to normal sounds from my family, making them used to "noice" from the start.
